Shamanism

Shamanism is an ancient form of spiritual healing found in indigenous cultures all over the world dating back to approximately a hundred thousand years ago. Traditionally, it is a path and a way of life where one connects with nature and all of creation, and both lives and works from this place.

The word shaman originates from the Tungus tribe in Siberia and is often translated to mean the “one who sees in the dark.” The implication here is that hidden realities exist, in which the shaman, voluntarily moves into an altered state of consciousness and acts as an intermediary between these worlds for the purposes of healing.

Medicine Women and Medicine Men work with Shamans and their spiritual family who guide them during the healing session to help remove blocks, plant gifts, and help restore balance within the individual. They work directly with the healing field and help individuals shift and align into a healing state.

The medicine women of South America carry the healing presence of their lineage and honor their ancestry through all their work in the world.

Shamanic Counseling

Shamanic Counseling is offered to women and children through the journey of walking the sacred path of the Incan Medicine Wheel, the roadmap utilized to discover our multifaceted nature. Through the journey of the four directions beginning in the South, then moving to the West, the North, and the East, we embark on a deep spiritual quest of healing and transformation where we will meet our guides, allies, and ancestors to help us understand who we are and how to move beyond our fears.

The South is the place of the spiritual body, the element of fire, the home of Serpent. Here we transmute our fears, shed our past, and explore our soul consciousness to remember who and what we are.

The West is the place of the emotional body, the element of water, the home of Black Jaguar. Here, we traverse into the unconscious worlds, the shadow side, the dreamworld, and connect to our deep emotional worlds.

The North is the place of physical body, the element of earth, the home of our Ancestors. Here, we connect to our Higher Self, higher knowledge, and ask for the wisdom to use that knowledge.

The East is the place of the mental body, the element of air, the home of Eagle. Here, we gain new sight, perspectives, and expanded consciousness to see the truth and manifest what we came here to manifest.

By living with and walking with the Medicine wheel, a 6-month journey unfolds where we meet on a weekly basis for 6 months as follows:

  1. Month 1: Medicine Wheel Overview
  2. Month 2: The South
  3. Month 3: The West
  4. Month 4: The North
  5. Month 5: The East
  6. Month 6: Medicine Wheel Closing

By walking and studying the medicine wheel we can assess and understand underlying physiological and psychological symptoms. Through this study, we can observe how we define reality and how our fears affects our lives. Each month we will be progressively living with one of the bodies in the medicine wheel and learning about herbs, stones, and various alternative healing modalities with both formal and informal practices.

By the end of the 6-month module, individuals have released deep fears in all 4 bodies and gained clarity on their life’s journey.
